Client: Ynni Newydd
This is a consented 30MW solar farm on the Flintshire/Cheshire border. When constructed in full this project is likely to be one of the largest community-owned solar farms in the UK.
YnNi Teg has provided project management, stakeholder engagement and general support services to Ynni Newydd, a community benefit society set up to develop the solar farm. Our input helped to secure the development rights. The site spans the England/Wales border and was subject to an Environmental Assessment to support two planning applications, both eventually approved. Ynni Newydd is now moving into the construction stage with the project.
